Mzamom’Hle is de Gonubie township, vlakbij Oost Londen in Zuid-Afrika en heeft ongeveer 25.000 inwoners, waaronder 60% kinderen. In het jaar 2000 bouwde de Zuid-Afrikaanse regering 500 kleine huisjes in de Township maar de meeste inwoners wonen nog in hutten. De sloppenwijk groeit snel doordat mensen naar deze wijk trekken in de hoop werk te vinden. Deze groei is ongecontroleerd en veel werkzoekenden blijven werkloos. De Township heeft een school waar onderwijs wordt gegeven t/m groep 12 (vergelijkbaar met klas 4 van het voortgezet onderwijs in Nederland). De school is overvol. Een lokale kliniek levert Eerste Hulp Zorg. Veel kinderen groeien op onder moeilijke omstandigheden zoals gescheiden ouders, sterfte van ouders door ziekte, alcohol en drugsgebruik, geweld en armoede.

In the year 2000 the South African Government built 500 small houses in the Township, but many of the residents still live in shacks. The township is growing rapidly with people moving to the Township in the hope to find work. This growth is not being controlled and many of the job-seekers are unemployed.

The Township has a School up to grade 12. The school is over crowded. A local clinic deals with Primary Health Care.

Many children grow up facing difficulties such as parents living separately, death of parents through sicknesses, alcohol and drug abuse, violence and poverty.
